Ovarian Cancer Donation Yoga Classes

Melissa Dorr, founder and owner of LifeCycles is fundraising for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition and is running the 2023 TCS New York City Marathon as a member of “Team Teal”. Her goal is to raise $5000.00 USD.

Support. Awareness. Cure.

The mission of the NOCC is to save lives through the prevention and cure of ovarian cancer and to improve quality of life for survivors and their caregivers.

Over 300,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year, and over 200,000 women die from the disease. It is the 7th most common cancer in women in the world (2nd in New Zealand). Unfortunately, most cases are diagnosed in later stages when the prognosis is poor. However, if diagnosed and treated early when the cancer is confined to the ovary, the five-year survival rate is over 90 percent. This is why it’s imperative that the early signs and symptoms are recognised not only by women, but by their families and the healthcare community. For more information https://ovarian.org/

Melissa is offering movement classes in the month of May for anyone that donates to her page. There are a total of eight classes and you can book for one or all for any amount donated. It is that simple. The link to her page is here https://give.ovarian.org/participant/31915, then book your place by linking the button on this page. NOTE: donations are made in USD and NOCC takes all major credit cards.
